Romeo & Juliet Styled Shoot Inspiration:
Coordination
The inspiration for this shoot came from the 1996 Baz Luhrmann film production of Shakespeares ‘Romeo and Juliet’, we wanted to create a cool, romantic, storytelling feel in this awesome industrial wedding venue. We used iconic elements from the film like the bride’s wings and dress, the ‘mock’ poison bottles on the table and rich medieval colour scheme to bring this look into being.
Cake
My inspiration for the shoot was not just the theme of Romeo and Juliet, but also the industrial venue. I love to put a twist on traditional wedding cakes, and this was the perfect opportunity.
Stationery
A modern twist on a medieval Romeo and Juliet inspired theme.
A palette of rich blues, gold edges, wax seals and tassels set the perfect scene.
A luxurious suite for those hopeless romantics among us.
Styling
We thought that rich colours and fabrics would be common in court at the time with the luxury of gold so took our inspiration from the book, and went for dark navy and the aubergine velvet runners and burgundy napkins.
